CIB – Latin America Distressed Analyst – Associate

Analyze stressed and distressed companies based in Latin America, including financial modelling, recovery analysis and sector research. Responsibilities will include building and maintaining relationships with management and other investors. Opportunities will include publicly traded bonds as well as loans and other private instruments.
Provide valuation views to sales and trading on trades involving different industries and countries.
Assist in trading strategies within the secondary markets, supporting Sales & Trading with the Client Franchise.
Collaborate with various business partners within the firm and externally to source and distribute opportunities.
Work on various workout and restructuring opportunities.
Credit experience, understanding of financial statements and financial models
Minimum 3 year experience in either Latin America banking, credit research (publishing or desk analysis) or asset management.
Language skills: Portuguese and/or Spanish.
Ability to understand legal documents of loans and bonds.
