About the Team
Firmwide & CIB Data Quality is part of Firmwide Data Management. Our goal is to drive business value from better quality data, as data is at the heart of everything we do at Company Chase. Firmwide & CIB Data Quality’s role is to drive the approach to data quality at the firm, by setting DQ standards and monitoring, providing central capabilities (process and tooling) and data expertise/consulting.
A successful candidate will join a team focused on transformation of data quality management within the CIB and be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of Chief Data Office’s initiatives. The role will require working with stakeholders across the CIB, looking to leverage best practice across the industry and other Company business units. Specific focus will be on driving large-scale data remediation projects across CIB lines of business (LoBs).
Manage multiple Project deliveries for the Data Remediation Team within the DQ functions
Stakeholder and business engagement across CIB LoBs to MD level
Effectively manage a team of professionals in support of data remediation projects. Conduct regular performance discussions and manage appraisals as per Company defined processes
Senior Management communication on progress, risks, etc. to MD level
Preparation of governance and spotlight decks for executive meetings
Support leadership in marketing the team’s services to the prospective LoBs to drive adoption and a strong project pipeline
Ensuring team members adhere to bank’s internal processes and Policies (configuration management, change control, access to data & systems, etc.)
Actively seek and apply Process Improvements within the Data Remediation team and across projects
Delivery management through internal entities (like business / technology teams) and vendors, as needed
Resource Planning and optimization
Identifying and facilitating relevant trainings for team’s skill enhancements
Educated to Degree level ( Preferably BE/B-Tech or MBA )
Formal training in Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
10+ years’ experience (5+ years in managing large programs across domain / function)
5+ years of people management experience
Experience of working on global initiatives/teams
Experience in Investment Banking recommended (e.g. markets, custody…)
Must possess strong understanding of translating business requirements in to projects execution
Should be able to handle Data Management/ Transformation / Remediation Projects
Must possess complete working knowledge of project management life cycle
Ability to handle multiple projects and managers simultaneously
Hands-on Data experience (e.g. manipulating data sets in excel, processing data…)
Strong Data Analytical skills and quantitative aptitude
Good functional knowledge of data modelling, relational databases, business intelligence tools
Excellent conflict management and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills at all levels
Strong delivery focus backed with good management, communication, leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to work in a matrix environment
Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
Effective change management skills. Ability to support & adopt within a changing environment
Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
Strong practical experience of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
