Chase Consumer & Community Banking serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk.
The Credit Forecasting Planning Associate will be responsible for a variety of duties that cut across the entire Credit Forecasting COE team. Duties will include a variety of BAU activities and innovation to further enhance the capability of the team. This individual will assist in the delivery of key quarterly credit analysis. He/she will also provide project management for BAU business operations of the team on a number of different initiatives.
Support and lead core deliverables for Credit Forecasting Center of Excellence:
◦ Preparation and consolidation of insightful analysis and commentary for CCB Credit Forecasting financials including budget/forecast/outlook variances
◦ Support execution of CCAR, ICAAP and Risk Appetite
◦ Manage key controls across loss forecasting teams
◦ Lead and prepare weekly/monthly analysis and commentary for C-level executives
◦ Work to enhance consistency across existing processes and reporting to meet changing needs of the business and drive process synergies
◦ Ad hoc analysis and work (Development of Quantitative methodology used across CCB credit forecasting)
Partner closely with team leadership to develop solutions; create structure and drive results and set direction for team
Deliver insightful recommendations in a persuasive and thoughtful manner
The ideal candidate has experience successfully delivering broad complex projects in matrix work environments. He/she has strong analytical skills, is highly confident, collaborative, detail oriented, and thrives in a high-pressure and high-expectations environment. He/she has a strong presence, superior influencing skills, is comfortable working directly with senior executives, effectively communicating and discussing strategic business considerations and project details at the appropriate level.
3 - 5 years of experience working in the financial services industry
Bachelor degree required; experience in risk, finance and regulatory a plus
Ability to grasp large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop and recommend solutions
Social aptitude - Ability to build consultative relationships with senior management, becoming a trusted partner for thinking strategically about the risk management organization and the CCB organization as a whole
Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
High level of proficiency at written/verbal communication – ability to interface with senior management and deliver compelling presentation materials that summarize complex tasks, timelines and tradeoffs
Ability to exercise sound judgment when working without immediate supervision
Ability to multitask and re-prioritize assignments while maintaining strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities combined with “big picture” problem-solving skills
Ability to work with all levels of staff
Assertive and self-motivated
Past compliance or regulatory experience a plus
