The Data & Analytics (D&A) team came together two years ago and has partnered with DECO to drive CCB’s data strategy to be industry leading. Since then they have significantly increased their investment in analytics, data and technology. More recently D&A and DECO have organized around products and are moving away from classic demand management/waterfall process.
As head of Planning and Capacity Management for Data & Analytics (D&A) you will ensure that our products and business aligned agile queues keep a well-coordinated and transparent rolling plan. This person will also be responsible ensure proper alignment of resources and skillsets to priorities occur on a timely bases as well as to to create clear portfolio level reporting. Other responsibilities include:
Work with Platform Product Owners to define and keep up to date, their roadmaps and business cases / KPIs
Maintain coordinated intake processes for Analytics and Modeling teams
Ensure backlogs are transparent to LoBs, stakeholders and across products
Create processes to identify dependencies across products and priorities early and coordinate execution
Work with DECO technology leaders to define capacity and skillset needs (short and long term)
Optimize workforce for increased execution and fungibility
Create and maintain reporting to enable Platform Product Owners and LOB/Function Product Owners (in partnership w/ DDOs) can prioritize their backlogs based on capacity available
Remain plugged into and help drive D&A and DECO’s transformation to a product oriented agile organization.
Work with other CCB portfolio managers to move us away from demand management and the current toolset and processes and into an agile, autonomous product centric environment.
This role will require a highly organized individual with excellent partnership and communication skills. The successful candidate will be working across all CCB LoBs, functions and levels of the organization. Key partners will include, but are not limited to other Line of Business and Tech Portfolio Management/CAO teams, Product Owners, DECO Technology Leaders, Finance and the D&A/DECO transformation team. This individual will lead a small team, so prior management experience is essential.
2+ years’ experience working on Agile projects or with Agile concepts
Minimum 5 years of leadership in a portfolio management capacity
Relevant experience in Financial Services, IT or Data
Experience driving change at scale with knowledge of multiple change management techniques
Develops partnerships and uses practical thinking to drive value
Builds and maximizes individual and team capabilities
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
Self-starter, high energy, and motivated to innovate the business
Detail-oriented and organized
Positive, team oriented attitude
Excellent communication skills with client focus
Ability to productively work in a matrix management organization
