The RCA Data Quality team within CCB Data Management Services is responsible for root cause analysis, measurement, control and target state assessment of data quality issues identified and submitted by CCB’s Sub Lines of Business, such as Mortgage, Card Services, Auto and Commercial Banking. The Team’s role also includes data validation and support of data management initiatives within the MB Business. The Data Quality Business Analyst will perform key analytical and data research functions within the Data Quality team. This role will perform in-depth research, root-cause analysis, and proactive data monitoring for data quality issues relating to mortgage systems. The analyst will focus primarily on data extraction, data and root cause analysis, data life-cycle documentation and documentation of remediation options and propose solutions in collaboration with Data Analysis and Resolution Team.
The Data Quality Research Analyst within CCB Data Management Services partners with all CCB’s Sub Lines of Business’ as previously noted, Data Stewards, Business Owners primarily responsible for management of data quality. In doing so, the DQ Research Analyst is responsible for researching and resolving submitted issues as well as participating in various data validation initiatives.
Partner with Data Stewards and subject matter experts to research reported data anomalies, identify root causes, and determine solutions.
Work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues, data gaps, identify and recommend solutions.
Perform data modelling and data analysis as required.
Create, define, and maintain data life-cycle documentation representing data elements across multiple upstream and downstream systems.
Handle small to medium projects with guidance from manager and/or Data Stewards.
Act as liaison between assigned Data Steward Tower and Data Quality Analyst Teams.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs.
Act as liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
Continual consulting on issues as solutions are implemented.

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent business experience.
1-2 + year’s business analysis experience.
Previous audit experience a plus
Proficient skills in MS Office, MS Access and SQL/ Oracle utilizing TOAD
Demonstrate excellent analytical and logical thinking.
Process flow analysis.
Well developed communication and presentation skills.
Self-starter, drive for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
Ability to work independently, providing structure in ambiguous situations.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle and associated controls.
Mortgage and Credit Card and other Banking discipline experience is preferred.
