This position will be responsible for overseeing the Capital Planning process for Company system (comprised of Hospitals, medical group and ancillary services such as urgent care centers). Responsibilities will include system-wide support and maintenance of Companies capital planning approach, tools, processes, and policies. Support CAC (Capital Allocation Committee) governance process for non-threshold/renewal, threshold and major capital project approvals. Lead on installing Kaufman Hall capital module and related work process integration by working with key stakeholders across Company system. Lead in the development of business case templates for major and minor projects in collaboration with the Planning & Strategy team. Provide process oversight and expertise in the development and evaluation of business plans for large capital projects (major & threshold) in collaboration with the Strategy team. Develop CAC governance process for "look back" studies for major projects. Support capital monitoring/prioritization process via Kaufman Hall tool which aligns capital requests with supply (e.g., capacity utilization, equipment aging) and demand. Collaborate and partner with Tech Management to develop obsolescence criteria for renewal capital spending. Provide monthly, quarterly and annual capital reporting, summary and detailed reporting to meet the needs of various processes. Manage small team of finance/accounting analysts to support deliverables.
Manages managers, supervisors and/or professional staff. Hires, develops and motivates employees to achieve objectives.
Achieves operational, financial or service objectives using breadth of knowledge of healthcare operations and management expertise. May manage budget for large and/or complex projects or programs. Participates and may lead task forces to plan, implement, and coordinate facility activities to maximize service quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
Accountable for the performance and results of a function or facility or process. Develops departmental plans and policies to achieve organizational priorities; 6 to 18 months future outlook. Makes decisions guided by functional business plans that impact the support and funding of services, processes, technologies, etc.
Conducts in-depth analysis and/or evaluation of information to determine the cause and appropriate solution. Foresees and resolves complex customer issues or problems. Manages resources to resolve conflicting objectives and priorities within own area and to ensure financial, service and operational commitments are met.
Bachelors degree or equivalent working knowledge in the field of finance or accounting.
Financial Planning, Analysis and reporting experience gained from progressive finance and business roles (4-7 years).Expertise in business case development, investment/ROI Company websitedge of finance and accounting concepts such as cash, P&L, depreciation, free cashflow Company websitetrated cross-functional collaboration and leadership abilities.
MBA preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
