Summary
The Company Society is a global nonprofit organization committed to exploring and protecting our planet. One of the ways it works to achieve these goals is through operational support. The Camera and Equipment Coordinator functions as a part of the Remote Imaging Team a technology and operations group within the Company Society. The coordinator is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of camera gear and equipment assets held by the Company Centers of Excellence, the Grantee Camera Loan program in support of explorers, grantees, and photographers
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate camera (and other technology) loans to grantees and explorers, that includes training and support of the loanee on equipment, generating a contract with loan terms. Maintains an inventory database for the Centers of Excellence, Remote Imaging, and the Camera loan program to ensure asset management. (50%)
2. Maintain and perform minor repairs on equipment for Remote Imaging and Camera Loan program. (20%)
3. Coordinates packing and shipping of equipment both domestic and international. Maintains compliance with current IATA hazmat shipping guidelines as well as FAA and DOT regulations. (20%)
4. Performs procurement of equipment and camera gear. Tracks spending and assists the Director of Remote Imaging to meet budget goals. (5%)
5. Ensures media associated with equipment is passed to the Grantee or staff Video Cataloger or relevant media ingest staff. (5%)
Minimum Education Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
Minimum Experience and Types of Experience
3 years of experience in a relevant field.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
-Basic camera usage, repair, and cleaning.
-Competence with MS office and Google Docs.
-Database and shipping and logistics experience preferred.
