The Buyer will be part of the Disneyland International (DLI) team that provides procurement and logistics support to Company’s Asia Parks. This role will be a liaison between internal and external partners with responsibility for the end-to-end procurement support relating to mechanical parts and other procurement requests from our Asia parks.
This position will report to the Category Manager DLI.
Serve as Professional Buyer in the purchase of external goods/services or internal stock transports relating to mechanical needs for Asia parks via Purchase Requests.
Manage Procurement Lifecycle Process for all orders placed, which includes researching pricing/lead time, availability of goods/services and/or part substitutions for obsolete parts and then submit estimates to requestors at respective Asia park; as appropriate.
Utilize Request for Quote (RFQ) to solicit supplier proposals. Create Purchase Orders (including managing Purchase Order acceptance by Vendors), Sales Orders and respond to Product Inspection and/or Quantity/Cost Variance Reports, when received.
Maintain communication with Consultant/Vendor and Requestor regarding delivery timeline. Ensure accuracy of delivered orders and coordinate shipping requirements with DLI Distribution Staff. As necessary, initiate Vendor setups in SAP, assisting Vendor throughout the process.
Manage invoice payment process related to all orders. Follow-up to ensure timely release of payments in SAP; troubleshoot potential roadblocks and resolve nonpayment issues by consulting with Company A/P, to achieve successful remedies.
1-3 years experience in procurement or related position
Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances

Team oriented, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
Customer service oriented and client-centered focus
Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and self-manage tasks
Skillful level of common desktop applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
General understanding of accounts payable, procurement and sourcing processes
3-5 years experience in procurement or related position
General understanding of Company operations
Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems – e.g. SAP, ORACLE
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
