The Consumer Behavior Analytics (CBA) organization is strategically and uniquely organized with SDEs, DEs, Product managers, Data/Applied Scientists and Economists to solve challenging predictive analytics problems at Company scale by providing data driven actionable insights.
Are you passionate about using Big Data & Machine Learning to build Optimization modelling?
If yes, we are setting up a new team in Seattle. We looking to hire BI Engineers to architect and build big-data analytics systems to help Company build a global marketing measurement platform based on Machine Learning techniques to measure & optimize Company’s multi-billion dollar advertising spend.
You will play a key role in building the appropriate data ecosystem and leverage big data solutions to deliver insights and optimize ROI for marketing dollars. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with traditional Data Warehouse (DW) concepts, worked on MPP systems handling terabytes of data and have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies while dealing with big data. Excellent business and communication skills are a must to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions. You should be able to work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing reporting solutions.
Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly data systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.
Partner with operations/business teams/economist/ML teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting/process solutions and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs.
Apply your deep analytic and business intelligence skill to extract meaningful insight and learning from large and complicated data sets.
Serve as liaison between the Business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
5+ Years of Data Warehouse Experience with Redshift, EMR, Spark etc.
5+ Years experience with SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
5+ years experience in maintaining data warehouse systems and working on large scale data transformation using AWS technologies, such as S3 and Redshift
2+ years of coding experience in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Scala, Java, etc.)
Ability to self-direct, multitask, and prioritize a constantly evolving workload.
2+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning/business planning or advanced degree
Advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau and Quicksight preferred)
Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal/written) to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data.
An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
Experience in designing and delivering cross functional custom reporting solutions.
Experience with an enterprise class BI tool like Micro Strategy, Business Objects, Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence and familiarity with new BI tools like Domo, Looker or Superset
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Track record of being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
A desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment.
Experience in writing and tuning advance SQL scripts
Experience working in very large data warehouse environments
Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making
