Your impact on the team:
In this role of Business Application Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management and operations of critical business applications, interfacing with the business to set and manage the product vision, executing the application road-map through various enhancement and project requests. You will be managing interactive development teams and providing development solutions, product strategy, setting/evolving development policies, performing code reviews, and mentoring/training the team members on regular basis.
What can you expect from the position?
Managing day-to-day operations, working with the offshore vendor teams on the planning, requirements gathering, design, and testing of application enhancements / modifications.
Providing functional and application expertise. Conducting reviews/analysis of business and information technology processes, solicit client requirements, write and review functional designs with end-user for user acceptance/approval.
Responsible for the quality of the solutions delivered, determine underlying issues, apply negotiations, and change management techniques to implement the best practice solutions.
Working with the Business Leadership to identify the strategic business needs, high level requirements, potential technology solutions and business benefits for enterprise application projects.
Working with the SLT and project managers to develop a high-level scope, budget, timeline, risks, project and resource plan.
Working with the business units to define the business case for approval and funding.
Develop use cases and test scripts and validate with user community and develop test schedules.
Review testing plans and track/document the development and results of these plans working with onsite and offshore development teams.
What can you bring to the role?
Degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science (or equivalent).
Minimum 6-8 yrs of experience implementing Enterprise Business Systems in large global organizations.
Thorough understanding of agile Software Development Lifecycles (and testing methodologies), preferably working in Offshore/Outsourcing development and support models.
Thorough understanding of data modeling techniques, master data management principles and project management experience is highly desirable.
