Responsible for analyzing business requirements for Ad Sales organization, delivering results for one or more research functions including Business Intelligence/Automation. Gather and analyze data from different data sources and provide insights that lead to tangible results. Will work closely with management to develop plans and provide analytic solutions that will encourage sales to optimize revenue potential.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Gather and analyze data from a variety of sources then deliver interpretations and recommendations.
Work on improving data analysis process, reporting efficiency and methodology. Stay on top of business changes, including internal customer research and industry research (news/telecom/cable/media/digital/sports), recommend research solutions based on the business needs, identify new gaps in data, and keep production dashboards relevant to the business at all times.
Communicate findings and insight to stakeholders and provide business strategy recommendations for optimizing business performance.
Develop simple and easy to use interfaces to make data comprehensible to a variety of user groups.
Provide daily/weekly/monthly analytics reporting to enable the business to operate transparently and efficiently while capitalizing on insights to track revenue success/opportunities.
Manage multiple projects with evolving timelines in various stages of completion.
Interpret business requests and translate that into reporting capabilities.
Manage and fulfill recurring and ad hoc business requests to internal stakeholders and communicate insights in a clear and concise manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Experience with data prep, data analysis, interpretation, data visualization, presentation, and delivery
Ability to work without close supervision in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment and can communicate and manage priorities effectively to meet deliverables
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects and assignments
Excellent project management skills
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills
Ability to work well with others in both research and non-research areas and across all levels of the organization
Strong problem solving skills and ability to implement changes rapidly that positively impact performance and align with strategic goals
Strong attention to detail, balanced with the ability to think strategically while seeing trends, themes and macro impacts
Experience collaborating with cross functional teams located around the country in different time zones
Experience with Nielsen, ComScore/Rentrak, MRI, Scarborough, Simmons, and Kantar Media data
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Bachelor’s degree in Research, Marketing, Business, Management or related field
Additional research academia, training, certification, memberships or research affiliations preferred
Related Work Experience
3+ years media research experience, agency, publisher and/or client side
2+ years Project Management
Ability to support the complete research process, including outside agencies, partners, consultants and vendors
Knowledge of all major research methodologies, leading companies, associations, publications, industry trends and innovations
Strong interest in television and/or media research
