The Investment Products teams within Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM) is responsible for sourcing and managing an industry leading set of investment products, platforms and capabilities across a spectrum of client wealth and service channels. In addition to GWIM’s Fiduciary offerings, an important component of the business includes core brokerage functions and operating platforms.
The Brokerage Platforms and Product Integration Director role will be responsible for leading core brokerage platforms for GWIM, ensuring the appropriate business processes, infrastructure and platforms across the spectrum of core trading functions and related processes. This role will ensure that GWIM has a scalable, high quality, cost efficient and risk-measured approach across our brokerage capabilities aligned with broader product capabilities. Additionally, the Director will lead efforts to deliver a consistent experience for Advisors and clients across Advisory and Brokerage platforms.
More specifically, this role is responsible for the following:
Developing and managing “life cycle” operating processes procedures for core trading including Order Entry and connectivity with all stakeholders (GWIM Capital Markets Trading Desk, Managed Account Advisors (MAA), which provides investment advisory services to GWIM clients, and Global Banking and Markets (GBAM)).
Establishing clear process and appropriate controls regarding interactions amongst MAA and GWIM Capital Markets. An important emphasis area includes the implementation processes regarding trading surrounding the Chief Investment Office Model Portfolios ($150B+ in AUM).
Identifying opportunities to further streamline, integrate and/or invest in core operating platforms to support the continued growth of the business including reducing the number of non-integrated order entry processes to reduce operating risk. In particular, focus on aligning and leveraging core investments across the enterprise, including key GBAM capabilities.
Adapt and invest in newer technologies to reduce operating cost, support higher levels of AUM and improve the client experience.
Ensure strong integration across Investment Product team where appropriate regarding platforms and capabilities, including 3rd party vendors. In addition, this role will provide leadership for the product teams regarding enhanced use of digital capabilities and automation.
Candidates for the role should possess:
15 years+ of business experience within financial services, including extensive experience in designing and managing large scale, strategic business processes.
Knowledgeable with wide spectrum of financial products and structures
Systems knowledge and expertise, and the ability to understand and work within a complex technology infrastructure
Ability to lead teams and drive multi-year change efforts
Fluency in core technologies including trading and portfolio management
Strong project management skills and ability to lead long-term, complex initiatives across a number of stakeholders
