Role Overview
For development teams looking to increase efficiencies and improve quality of their software, one of the most important places to focus is the software build process. This position is responsible for software builds and releases. The candidate will be responsible for the development of build scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control (SCM) and issue tracking. They will work closely with our quality assurance team to ensure final version is up to organizational standards.
The Madden S.H.I.E.L.D. team is looking for a Build Engineer to serve as a generalist and work in a variety of areas including:
• Developer Build Support/Integrations
• 1st Party Tools and Setup
• Patch and DLC
• TRC/XR Compliance
• Client Stability
• Package upgrades and audits
• Integrations
• Build maintenance
• Build improvements
What does EA look for??
Ideal candidates will be fluent in the following technologies, concepts, and processes:
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of C++ development experience using OOP/OOD principles under a modern development methodology, ideally Agile/Scrum
• Experience with Perforce or similar source code control system
• Familiarity with relational database environments
• Strong problem solving skills
• Passionate about games, and the software development process
• Proficiency with C#
• Experience with automated testing systems is a plus
• Ability to identify issues, and to present a set of solutions for the problem
