The Studio:
Company’ Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia is highly regarded throughout the industry as a leader in delivering high quality, engaging games on mobile. We are constantly evolving our live service games and are pushing the limits on what is possible on mobile with our new products.
The Role:
You will drive marketing and brand strategy for a portfolio of mobile games with some of the best IP in the world. You will excel at marrying science and creativity to delight customers and partners, working with cross-functional teams to build strong brands.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with studio game teams to develop product roadmap and strategic plans around user acquisition, engagement and retention, and help execute against the plans and tactics.
• Working with other functional teams to deliver product branding, positioning, audience insights and overall marketing strategies/go-to-market plans.
• Conducting ongoing product and competitive marketing analysis to ensure consumer and market trends are informing key strategies.
• Defining long-term brand vision, brand identity and creative direction that ensure consistency in messaging across all player touchpoints.
• Regularly partnering, presenting and reporting to studio leadership and stakeholders on marketing strategies, plans, and findings.
• Analysing performance data, including sales and in-game data, to identify opportunities and challenges, then create strategies and tactics to drive results.
• Curating, sharing, and managing live services business insights.
• Partnering with Consumer Insights team to test merchandising, messaging, game features (and concepts), and improve player experiences based on those findings.
You will have:
• Five years experience working in a top tier marketing role.
• Solid business, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Project management and coordination across functional groups and external partners.
• Strong expertise/understanding of mobile, consumer live service, e-commerce and consumer insights and how they drive brand strategy.
• Experience building marketing strategies and executing tactical plans.
• Strong communicator and collaborator; experience presenting to internal and external executive-level staff.
• Experience taking a product or service from consumer insight, to ideation, to market.
• Achievement in bringing new initiatives to fruition in a large, complex, matrixed corporate organization that must innovate at the speed of mobile.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required.
• A passion for gaming, with experience in the industry a plus
