Reporting to the General Manager or designated manager, communicate and work with CR Writers and Lot Operations in order to coordinate the flow of vehicles for each paint line into the Body Shop and to identify body shop codes on vehicle stickers when they arrive in order to separate by lane.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Separate vehicles per body shop code, stage by lane, and pull vehicles forward in the lane into the Metal Tech station.
Responsible for separating vehicles for each lane and pulling vehicles forward along with moving vehicles through the Body Shop as directed by the Body Shop Manager.
Responsible for the repair of non-operational vehicles.
Provide prompt and courteous service to all persons with whom they come in contact. Maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment at all times consistent with company policy.
Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise management of all serious complaints or incidents.
Ensure all shop area conditions are not a potential threat to employee or customer safety. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee or customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to Body Shop Supervisor or Manager immediately per auction policy.
Contact lot manager or designated manager to deliver more cars to the staging area when number of cars available falls below the predetermined level.
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in an automotive environment preferred. Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
The physical activity requirements of the position are Light to Medium Physical Work.
Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions. (Refer to Policy HR-200 for definitions)
Potential -running, jumping, yelling or other rapid forceful movement in emergency situations.
Physical Working Condition:
This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, body shop, painting and cleaning chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with body shop and paint operations .
