Ford is seeking to hire a person(s) with algorithm design and embedded software knowledge in the development of the CAN Based Power Distribution Box on the Body Modules team. The candidate will be responsible for the CAN Based Power Distribution Box feature in the CANPDB. This means that they would have a detailed knowledge of the functional specification, conduct design reviews, help resolve vehicle/bread board issues.
The following are in respect to the CAN Based Power Distribution Box:
Provide project management and technical leadership to the controls and electronics team
Scope projects and identify resource requirements. Developing/reviewing project work plans
Translate feature level requirements into implementation level control system specifications
Resolve issues and/or ambiguities found in specifications during the vehicle development cycle
Work with the FSS software team explaining algorithm requirements
Design state diagrams in Visio and develop Matlab Simulink models to represent an implementation
Conduct software design review with Suppliers
Support vehicle launch
Generate the CAN Based Power Distribution Box section of the CANPDB functional specifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
3+ years of Engineering and Algorithm Design for Embedded hardware and/or software design experience
1+ years of experience with control theory and algorithm design via truth tables and finite state machines
1 + years experience of Embedded software design work experience including the CAN Based Power Distribution Box
2 + years of Matlab/Simulink experience
3+ years of Hardware, Software, or Model-in-the-Loop validation experience (HIL, SIL, MIL)
6+ years of engineering and Algorithm Design for Embedded hardware and/or software design
At least 5 years of proven experience with control theory and algorithm design via truth tables and finite state machines
2 or more years of Can Power Distribution Box design and software integration experience work experience
2+ years of working with CAN and/or LIN vehicle networks
At least 1 year of Project Management Experience
