The role: The ‘Blend Master’ will be responsible for the operation of the APV plate and frame pasteurizers and the APV Crepaco homogenize. This includes (but not limited to) the preparation of purees, concentrates, blends, mixing of product, performing adjustments, efficient interdepartmental communications, pasteurization of product, and homogenization of product.
The ‘Blend Master’ will be responsible for receiving bulk tankers of Orange Solids, HFCS, Sucrose, MIS, and Orange Essence. This includes (but not limited to) the validation of tanker wash tickets, collecting samples for QA, and validation of security seals.
The ‘Blend Master’ is capable of blending on any of three independent blend systems, plus pre-blends components of batches in the chopper tank drum dump room to be pumped to the blend tanks.
Preparation of the mix system and pasteurizer for production.
Interpret the production schedule, staged inventory, and other documents, to prepare for incoming ingredients and production of blends.
Provide samples of product to QA for analysis in a timely manner, and make any necessary adjustments for approval.
Efficient pass downs and communication to team members and management.
Ensure the setup, operation, and cleanliness of the shear mixer, chopper tanks, pumps, lines, hoses, blend tanks, etc...
Inspect equipment and area for food safety & personal safety issues before starting and throughout shift.
Record or SCAN all ingredient consumption in SAP.
Ensure record keeping, documentation, SOP’s are followed and data entry into forms in quality system.
Evaluate opportunities for improvement of process.
Perform pasteurization of product per product processing parameters.
Perform CIPs and Sanitizing of pasteurizers.
Must become proficient in HACCP documentation.
Assist maintenance as necessary with work.
Maintain good housekeeping and GMP’s.
Ensure duties on Master Sanitation Schedule in PDA are completed.
Demonstrate the values of Coca-Cola through words, actions, and by example.
Follow all GMP, PPE, and Safety requirements.
Attend all required trainings and meetings.
Other duties may be assigned
Previous experience in Food Manufacturing facility a plus
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations to formulate juice blends
Must be able to perform basic computer skills (screen navigation, data input, etc.
Must be Forklift Certified
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in English to all management personnel and others in the department in order to read records and document all forms necessary to perform the ‘Blend Master’ job responsibilities.
