As Food Safety Quality & Regulatory Associate Chemist position you will be responsible for ensuring products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety. Assurance of product quality will require from you to monitoring quality assurance systems including instrumentation calibration, instrument maintenance, sample cross-checks, wet chemistry methods, procedures, raw materials, food safety, and training. Additionally, you will understand our plant processes and provide technical advice to support our production operations. We are measuring impact to customer happiness, minimization of process variation, process recoveries, waste reduction, and cost minimization.
Assures product meets compliance specifications and overall final product approval checks
Provides data analysis, trend identification, troubleshooting, corrective action, and communication with regard to processing data.
Delivers daily assessment of process quality parameters and FSQR systems including cross-checks, raw materials, calibration, maintenance, procedures, food safety, training, auditing & oversight of analytical testing performed in control rooms.
Trains new FSQR chemists, analysts, operators, technicians and personnel from other functional areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science related field or in lieu of degree, High school diploma and 4 years of related lab work experience.
