NGS Audit & Reimbursement II- PS35442
Location: South Portland, ME
Audit & Reimbursement II Responsible for determining cost report acceptability both as first level and second level reviewer and completing the related follow on duties for all provider types as assigned. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Performs first and second level review of submitted cost reports to determine acceptability.-Prepares fiscal memos timely and accurately.
Assists other team members and providers in problem resolution of complex cases. - Responsible for completing interim rate reviews, tentative settlements and final settlements of providers as assigned during non-peak activity for acceptance. - Updates STAR and FISS as required.
◦ Participates in TeamMate file set up and other planning activities of the unit
Analyzes and interprets data and makes recommendations for process improvement based on judgment and experience.
Must be able to perform all duties of lower level positions as directed by management.
Requires a BA/BS degree, preferably in accounting; 2-5 years of audit/reimbursement or related Medicare experience; thorough knowledge of CMS program regulations and cost report format; knowledge of CMS computer systems and Microsoft Office Word and Excel; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. - MBA, CPA or CIA preferred.
Must obtain Continuing Education Training requirements (where required). - Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel occasionally is required.
