This position is for an entry-level Research Engineering professional. Participates in a range of activities associated with conducting fundamental or applied research, and supporting product and program research.
Supports fundamental or applied research to improve existing or generate new products, components, equipment, systems, or processes.
Participates in analysis, experimental, and investigatory work according to an established research plan, may perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, and record results and prepare simple technical reports, including conclusions and recommendations for product and program research.
Develops conclusions by working closely with experienced researchers to develop research skills and knowledge of the organization’s products and services.
May work to identify if and where processes are not working and make applicable recommendations for change.
Conducts technology, product, and program research.
Prepares and completes experimental and developmental research engineering.
May relate to new or changed products and technologies.
Analyzes projects to develop changes to programs and processes to increase efficiency.
Evaluates new approaches to meet project objectives.
Bachelor’s degree OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
