Associate Relations Sr Manager - Human Resources
J.C. Penney Company, Inc.
Partners with VP HR Supply Chain and Associate Relations to design, lead and set strategic direction for associate relations programs and processes. Assists in the management of communications of associate relations programs and processes.
Successfully integrates organization-wide associate relations interventions into local operations.
Conducts investigations through the development of investigative plans and protocols based upon each individual case.
Manages, evaluates and makes recommendations around associate relations metrics.
Analyzes and examines issues and makes recommendation around organizational policies, procedures and best practices.
Leads and supports the integration of best practices in associate relations/employee engagement initiative and activities and monitors consistent execution.
Sponsors and provides input into the design/development of internal HR policies and procedures.
Monitors compliance with internal policies and practices and partner with HR and business to address issues
Helps set strategic direction with senior management in support of associate relations issues.
Influences and shapes organization-wide associate relations structure to attract, develop, engage and retain associates.
Analyzes climate and shapes positive environment; empowers managers relative to associate relations and labor relations.
Builds enterprise processes, develops training, etc to reduce legal and compliance risk for the company
Leads proactive associate relations efforts for the enterprise.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
Ten years progressive responsibility in Associate Relations and/or Human Resources Generalist positions.
Experience in managing people and/or project management is a prerequisite.
Experience working with Sr. Management in a large organization.
Experience building out an associate relations function is highly desirable. Consulting skills are desirable, though not mandatory
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, human resources or related field
