What is the opportunity?
The Enterprise Risk Management group is part of Group Risk Management (GRM) and is responsible for defining and implementing an effective risk framework and governance structure across Company’s European operations, in particular for Company’s main subsidiary Company Europe Limited (RBCEL).
What will you do?
• Coordinating and delivering the subsidiary ICAAPs with a focus on economic capital and stress testing.
• Driving the capital adequacy stress testing (Pillar 2B) and Reverse Stress Testing processes.
• Coordinating and delivering the Recovery and Resolution Plan (RRP)
• Ensuring appropriate early warning indicators and triggers are in place for the Recovery Plan.
• Making continual and proactive improvements to the ICAAP and RRP to ensure that these remain fit for purpose and aligned with changing regulatory requirements and expectations.
• Drafting and maintaining risk policies relating to risk governance and risk appetite.
• Take an active part in quarterly meetings with Enterprise Risk Toronto on ICAAP, Recovery Plan and Risk Appetite.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• A good first degree in a Finance/Economics or other quantitative disciplines.
• Experience/regulatory knowledge in ICAAP and/ or RRP development
• Understanding of Economic Capital and Stress Testing (NB no modelling is involved)
• Experience within Banking or Consultancy
• Ability to digest Risk Regulation and implement any new regulation into existing processes
• Project management skills and the ability to confidently facilitate workshops with numerous stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and manage own work schedule
