Job Description
Position Overview
The Associate Director, Digital Operations is a position within Company’s Digital Operations team. The position reports to the Director of Digital Operations. The Associate Director will manage a team of three to four ad operations professionals on one of Company’s largest digital accounts. The CPG account consists of several divisions running multiple campaigns concurrently. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can handle a quick pace at high volume, while managing and mentoring a strong AdOps team. The position will reside in New York.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a staff of ad traffickers including the management of workload balance across various brands
• Responsible for on-time, accurate campaigns across the entire client portfolio
• Ensure the proper set-up and execution of all ad campaigns using Sizmek, DoubleClick and other specialty ad servers as needed for mobile, video, etc.
• Work with AdOps Director and account leads to establish and maintain QA processes
• Provide guidance to the trafficking team for the testing of creative executions (including management of complex rich-media executions) for functionality and tracking across various browsers and devices
• Act as hands-on, tactical expert in the execution of all forms of digital advertising in a digital operations capacity including guidance for optimal campaign set-up and conversion tag creation
• Foster day-to-day relationships with technology partners; meet with new technology companies as needed and provide feedback to the agency teams
• Possess the ability to correctly/effectively traffic within various adservers
• Ensure appropriate integration between ad-server platforms and Company’s campaign planning tool, Prisma (Media Ocean); basic knowledge of agency campaign planning tool ideal
• Contribute to Company’s technology vendor audit process and communicate preferred partnerships to the various teams
• Manage the creation and ownership of technology vendor POVs, evaluations and recommendations
• Work with Director of AdOps/agency teams to confirm technology rates, ad formats and specs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of Sizmek and DoubleClick platforms as well as leading video and mobile ad-serving solutions including Celtra, Medialets, Vindico, Innovid, etc.
• Advanced knowledge with rich-media ad formats (expandable, floating, video streaming etc.) and rich-media providers and technologies such as DoubleClick, Sizmek, Flashtalking, Jivox, etc.
• Advanced knowledge working with secondary technology vendors including research study vendors, ad verification vendors, privacy compliance vendors, etc. including Nielsen, ComScore, Millward Brown, Ghostery (formerly Evidon), Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify, MOAT, etc.
• Knowledge of the programmatic buying process
• Knowledge of HTML5 and basic JavaScript
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint) skills required
• Advanced knowledge of debugging software such as Fiddler, Ghostery, etc., required (primarily used for conversion/container tag implementation)
• Strong understanding of the campaign measurement metrics associated with online advertising, including conversion tracking metrics
• Experience with remarketing strategies and technologies
• Strong campaign management and troubleshooting skills
• Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Experience managing a team, fostering career growth and ensuring continuous education in order to keep up with the demands of a constantly-evolving industry
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 7-10 years industry experience
• 5 years digital ad operations and analytics experience
• Experience managing a team of digital professionals
• Comfortable working in a client-facing position
