Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
The candidate will be expected to perform these duties in support of Enterprise Information Center (EIC):
• Manage and build EIC capabilities
◦ Gather business needs and associated requirements to ensure that EIC solutions are delivering business value
◦ Provide data content expertise around the business value, rules and metrics around business function data
◦ Ensure that the EIC solutions are addressing the business need in an agile fashion
◦ Ensure that solutions are leveraging existing capabilities within BMS and new capabilities are developed in accordance with BMS Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, Information security and Digital capability manager guidance
◦ Continue to provide support for EIC solutions till they are transitioned to steady state teams
• Manage Pilots and Proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives
◦ Lead 2 to 4 POCs in a year, each ranging in 13-26 weeks of duration, to test new capabilities in Data Management, Visualization, analysis and/or data assets
◦ Work closely with IT Business Partner, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A), Business and IT leaders to assess applicability (of the new capability) to specific business needs
◦ Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture and Digital Capability managers to assess organizational fit of the new capability
• Manage EIC projects
◦ Perform Project management of EIC capabilities and POCs
◦ Activities include (but not limited to) - planning, communication, task management, stakeholder engagement, execution etc.
◦ Candidate will be managing 2-8 projects with durations and complexity ranging from small (2-4 weeks) to large (3-6 months) at any time
• Manage Stakeholder Relationship
• Serve as the key contact for EIC for the supported business functions and will liaison with IT Business Partners, BI&A, Business leaders and other IT and Information and Data Management (IDM) stakeholders
◦ Works closely with these teams to assess success metrics for the solutions developed
◦ Manages escalation for any issues encountered with EIC solutions
◦ Conduct proactive and periodic review of user engagement and feedback on the EIC solutions
• Manage EIC Operations
◦ Guide and review work activities performed by the Consulting partners for EIC
◦ Continue to train self and the team on new data capability areas
◦ Prioritize work activities and effectively communicate expectations and timelines
◦ Provide periodic summaries for senior leadership
• Define and implement EIC strategy
◦ Define EIC strategy and organizational alignment for success
◦ Work closely with the EIC head and other EIC members to review and align on strategy and agree on a roadmap
◦ EIC strategy focuses on many areas such as - building organizational awareness, identifying execution and transition patterns, assessing similar organizations within and across the industry
Requirements:
• Bachelors (BS, BA)
• Relevant experience in Data Management, visualization, data modeling tools and data content
• Fluent in English
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• MBA or related advanced degree is a plus
• Candidate should possess 7+ years of relevant experience related to data management or adjacent fields
• Of this, at least 2 years should be in data management, data sciences, analytics / reporting or related discipline
• At least 2 years working in a matrixed team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong data domain knowledge
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Willingness to learn new capabilities and technologies
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to envision and drive strategy
• Proven track record of coordinating across a matrixed team
Qualifications
Candidate should be qualified with Bachelors(Required),Qualifications like Masters would be a pro.
