Overview
The Associate Director (Digital) will be responsible for leading and managing the Company website Creative Project Management Team (Digital) in all efforts associated with long-term planning, management and day-to-day executions of all projects tasked.
Including but not limited to; Strategic planning and creation of 8-16-month digital roadmap (as it pertains to the Creative Service Department), as well as partnering with Associate Director, Creative Operations (Brand) on seasonal photo shoot planning needs; Management and scoping of complex cross functional projects. Appointment and oversight of Digital Creative Project Managers to ensure key milestones and overall execution of projects are met; Communication of appropriate project information to requesting department(s), as well as to internal counterparts; Development and actualization of cross functional processes, partnering closely with other lead members to ensure all input is accounted for; Regular status updates to the Senior Director of Creative Operation and VP, Creative Operation to ensure visibility at all levels.
Position Responsibilities
Creative Operations
• Work closely with Associate Director of Creative Ops/PM (Brand) on overarching seasonal planning
• Monitor project timelines and creative development of projects with Creative Services Project Management Lead
• Ensure continual knowledge capture of eCommerce roadmap, enhancements and status updates to ensure the Creative Services Department stays in lockstep with partnering teams
• Ensure communication of all updates are appropriately disseminated to internal disciplines
• Evaluate and respond to issues or project risks
• Develop and collaborate on existing/future cross functional processes with the eCommerce and Digital Marketing team(s)
• Champion departmental processes, ensuring partner compliance and adoption
• Partner with lead Art and Editorial Directors on project work load, timelines and processes
• Run Weekly Project Management/Operations Touch Base/Status
• Support Senior Director of Creative Services & Ops; weekly updates on project work load, etc.
Project Management
• Simultaneously manage varying projects and project schedules, ensuring key milestones and updates are being communicated to peers
• Manage timely and orderly flow of all creative aspects, from project inception; internal and external reviews final material release.
• Provide internal Creative Team’s (Editorial, Fashion Office, Production, etc) with required information to complete task at hand
• Ensure projects are routed for proper approval and all sign-offs are confirmed and recorded
Management
• Manage a team of 4, ensuring familiarity and knowledge of all team members’ projects and assigned tasks
• Develop actionable and attainable goals for team members, with clear milestones and expectations
• Champion continual education amongst team, with regards to Digital, Project Management and Interpersonal Skills development to ensure department and peer growth
Skills & Experience
• 8 -10 years professional experience within Project Management/Operations (preferably Ad Agency or Fashion/Retail Brand)
• Ability to execute and plan towards overarching company plan, while executing on day-to-day needs
• Previous experience managing team of no less than 3, including direct reports
• Excellent partnership building/maintaining skills
• Previous experience working with Creative and Technical teams and ability to translate/communicate jargon to others in order to meet their needs
• Ability to make informed, strategic decisions under pressure
• Understanding of ecommerce platforms and how they relate to the creative work flow
• Ability to foster a positive and energetic work environment
• Exceptional work ethic and a team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of Photoshop and Indesign
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Key Note
