At Abercrombie, we’re doing just that — and our Creative Department is seeking a Copywriter with an exceptional voice to join our cause.
As an A&F Copywriter, you’ll be creating copy for of Abercrombie’s seasonal and in-season marketing campaign content. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll write editorial copy and partner with cross-functional teams to build compelling brand storytelling across multiple platforms and channels. A strong candidate will have a passion for the A&F brand, a dynamic voice, in-depth knowledge of fashion/retail trends and near-perfect editing, writing and grammar skills. The ability to write smart, informed copy on-the-fly and with tight turnaround is also a must. Generally, the ideal candidate is well versed in retail marketing, curious, optimistic, and highly collaborative.

What will you be doing?
Writing overarching headlines, decks and positioning statements for A&F marketing campaigns
Working closely with graphic designers on weekly marketing assets
Writing engaging customer-centric site and email copy on a weekly basis
Collaborating on copy for in-store signage, product naming, marketing activations, and ad hoc requests
Editing, proofing, and obtaining legal approvals on copy when needed
Actively working with teammates in imagery and design to execute brand voice in marketing campaigns
Contributing to seasonal and campaign kick-off presentations with department and company leadership
Maintaining an intimate understanding of the brand DNA and customer and stay up-to-date on fashion e-commerce industry trends and other retail brands as they pertain to A&F’s competitive landscape
Perform and share competitive copy analysis with the team to better inform copy
What will you need to bring?
Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, or Marketing/Advertising related field required
Minimum 3+ years of copywriting experience within a high-paced, cross-functional creative environment, preferably within Marketing/Retail
Clips/portfolio of writing samples demonstrating strong copywriting/editing and creative concepting skills
Experience working in an iconic, branded environment for an international organization
Near-perfect editing, spelling and grammar skills
Proficiency in social media marketing landscape
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong time management, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience writing and/or branding personal care, beauty and fragrance a plus
