Associate Actuary (Enterprise Valuation)
Preferred Locations:Atlanta, GA; St. Louis, MO; Indianapolis, IN

The Associate Actuary completes the most diverse and complicated projects and performs highly complex actuarial studies. Position will be lead for enterprise-wide valuation within Behavioral Health integration initiative. Will assist in the determination of reserves. Analyzes, develops and validates statistical data.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Support the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy of booked reserves.
Prepare and coordinate month-end financial reporting.
Review seasonality statistics for the state to be used in the forecast.
Provide support and analysis for internal and external audit requests, including the annual audit.
Produce quarterly reporting, including statutory and GAAP information.
Assist with Actuarial opinion and memoranda work annually.
Responsible for valuation support for business unit by interpreting financial results, variances from forecast to help identify product and segment behavior to assist in the risk management of the business unit.
Requires a BS/BA degree; ASA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA); at least 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Valuation experience highly desired.
Knowledge of Companies internal processes and systems preferred.
Strong analytical skills required.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Proficient in MS Excel required.
Project Coordination / Consulting experience could be beneficial.
