We will count on you to:
You will be responsible for updating management on issues, progress, etc, regularly and upon request.
Learn about the companies GC does business with and understand who the up-and-comers are on the client, vendor, and prospect side.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of reinsurer capabilities (product lines, capacity, approvals, etc), with the help of Market Information Department, Legal Department, and other departments as needed.
Manage expenses, time, services, etc. in order to maximize GC profits.
Produce placement slips, cover notes, and contracts as needed.
Monitor follow-up on contract documentation, ensuring the timely flow of materials.
Document all external correspondence and telephone conversations in accordance with GC procedures, including where appropriate, GC Professional Standards guidelines minimizing potential for errors and omissions.
Obtain the most appropriate market placements and services for assigned accounts based on client advisor’s assessment of client needs.
Respond to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly.
Assist with the design of new programs for clients’ needs, placing business with client-approved reinsurers.
Assist in responding to client request for information (reinsurer financial reports, industry issues, etc), coordinating with Market Information and other departments as necessary.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, clients, colleagues at Company.
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
3 years related experience.
Thorough knowledge of insurance/reinsurance concepts and terms for developing and placing reinsurance programs, preparing placement slips and cover notes and drafting or amending new and existing contracts.
Ability to travel (including internationally), entertain, and attend meetings, up to 30% of the time.
