The Assistant Web Designer will be responsible for designing online promotional materials including blog visuals, editorial layouts, carousel slides, mobile assets and banners, social media assets, as well as enhancing and elevating blog and social media user experience.
Maintain weekly refreshes for the Company blog, adhering to existing design templates and brand guidelines
Execute final adjustments and assist in delivery of sliced/optimized assets for HTML production.
Design editorial layouts and templates for the blog and as well as social media outlets.
Responsible for color correcting and retouching images as well as aiding in photo crops for various social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram.
Maintain visual style/graphic consistency for all design deliverables. Coordinate with other team members to promote graphic consistency.
Develop existing concepts established by the E-commerce team into various templates and other design deliverables.
Design and deliver assets for Tory Daily.
Assist on any graphic design projects or presentations as needed.
Translate blog design templates for the mobile app experience (smart phone and tablet)
Collaborate with Marketing team to ensure consistency of messaging for each initiative across the brand
Inject seasonal inspiration into appropriate projects and keep current with trends so design reflects marketplace and cultural relevance
Help maintain and adhere to brand design guidelines
Serve as contact person on daily basis with marketing/creative teams for blog posts and social media updates
Forge strong working relationship with marketing and designers to ensure all visual design is consistent and on-brand
2-3 years professional experience (E-commerce and/or Retail experience preferred)
Extensive knowledge of Adobe CS: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Photo retouching and color correction
WordPress knowledge a plus
Dreamweaver and/or Flash knowledge a plus
UX design knowledge a plus
Clean design aesthetic
Deep understanding and knowledge of luxury fashion, style and culture
Online fluency (websites, blogs, etc.) and the curiosity to learn more
Knowledge of trends and best-practices in the design landscape
Proactive work ethic
Strong communication skills and collaborative personality
Highly organized, with meticulous attention to details and deadlines
Ability to multi-task, adapt and re-prioritize in response to growing company needs
Flexibility to balance editorial and business needs
Must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
