To support our global business, Company operates multiple manufacturing and logistics facilities across North America to support our retail stores and wholesale customers.
The Export Analyst coordinates the movement of shipments through the Company global supply chain by providing accurate documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs requirements. Acts as a single point interface with internal employees and customers to ensure on time outbound deliveries. Communicates with vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation carriers to ensure efficient movement of goods across borders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Helps to monitor internal and external performance and report any deviation to appropriate program and functional authorities
Ensures full compliance for export transactions including the completion of export documentation, execution of export license determination, issuance of shipper’s letter of instruction, filing of Electronic Export Information by use of the US Automated Export System – AES) and export record retention.
Assists in interfacing with Customs Brokers, suppliers and service providers to ensure consistency with defined import/export processes.
Oversees data entry of international distributor sales orders in SAP.
Coordinates export shipments for territory of international distributors.
Maintains shipping instructions for territory in SAP customer master data and off-line for other departments.
Meet deadlines requested of Leadership with regard to the Operation and needs of the business
Analyzes weekly backorder reports for customers.
Provides production updates to customers as needed to explain backorders.
Reviews and maintains sales orders in SAP for accuracy.
Resolves order transmission and EDI issues.
Responds to customer inquiries regarding shipment status.
Creates and updates monthly import tracking reports (weights, entries, values).
Creates Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists for Export shipments.
Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems)
2+ years of international logistics experience
Direct experience with import/export shipping
Basic knowledge of SAP or Manhattan Associates WMS
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management, decision making, planning and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail; thorough
Ability to understand and follow directions, meet schedules and ensure work is completed as assigned
Proficient in MS Office suite of software (Excel, Word, and PP)
Prior experience in SAP environment
Experience with import/export of medical devices and FDA regulations
Knowledge of US Customs regulations
Hands on ability to trouble shoot and resolve transportation issues preventing production delays and impacts
