Eaton is seeking an individual with strong analytical and writing skills, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and has the ability to work well both independently and within teams in a boutique investment advisory firm.
Eaton’s offers Analysts/Associates the chance to engage directly in the fund formation and capital raising process for some of the best private equity firms worldwide. The private placement process uniquely develops both the quantitative and qualitative skills required at more advanced levels across the financial spectrum.
Candidates for the position must possess knowledge of and interest in the alternative asset industry - specifically private equity - as well as at least 1-2 years prior experience in finance. Ideal candidates have a background in private placements, investment banking, alternative asset investor relations or similar fields. The job requires management of multiple projects often under time constraints / deadlines, interaction and constant communication with clients, and great attention to detail.
All project management / corporate finance functions for the PE team are based out of Eaton’s Rowayton, CT and New York offices. Each fundraising deal is typically run by a small deal team consisting of 2-4 people. On deals, the role of an Analyst/Associate is to assist the deal team in all aspects of the project – including working directly with clients in drafting offering memorandums and marketing materials, coordinating all roadshow scheduling and logistics, and preparing for and coordinating all due diligence meetings and materials.
Additional responsibilities include assisting the Partners in various research projects and the sourcing, diligence and origination of new mandates. The Analyst/Associate will also manage and maintain external marketing materials, including pitch decks, fund offering booklets and executive presentations for the senior partners.

Bachelor degree required; Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred
At least 1 year experience working in Financial Services or Investor Relations
Strong analytical skills. Strong proficiency in Excel, including knowledge of financial modeling and LBO analysis
Able to handle multiple projects at a time
A good team player that understands how to work independently as well as part of a team
Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented
