Analyzes financial information related to Inventory including cycle count variances, manufacturing (packaging) cost activity, and all areas of inventory costing.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
20%-Compiles and analyzes a variety of reporting related to inventory transactions. Prepares and analyzes information for annual cost setting exercises under the Manufacturing Standard inventory costing method, including capitalization of overhead, duties, and freight into standard cost.
20%-Prepares journal entries related to inventory, inventory cost, and other areas. Prepares account reconciliations for a variety of inventory-related accounts
15%-Research inventory-related issues and work with other area (DC personnel, purchasing, etc) to resolve issues.
15%-Reviews current processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to proper control environment.
15%-Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures.
15%-Participate in cycle count audit program as needed. Contribute information to financial and other reporting.

This position reports to Accounting Manager
This position has no Direct Reports
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:3 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Familiarity with JDEdwards and system reporting
MBA or CPA
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Demonstrated proficiency in managing large data sets, including the expert use of Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, inventory costing systems, and controls.
Strong communication skills
