SUMMARY
The Account Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing specific wholesale account marketing plans based on corporate and seasonal initiatives. The Account Marketing Manager reports into the Sr. Marketing Manager and will work closely with Sales and Product. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create framework for Account Marketing process and programs. Oversee Account Marketing team to ensure the team is creating programs that are targeted to and specialized to the support of key accounts, regional accounts and specialty accounts.
• Develop, present and execute integrated marketing programs for Dick's Sporting Goods. Oversee AM team's work on integrated marketing programs for other key accounts (TS, REI, Backcountry, etc.) as well as programs to support larger wholesale account base.
• Manage the creation and execution of seasonal Go To Market programs to drive sell-in and sell-thru of brand initiatives for wholesale accounts.
• Work collaboratively with all cross-functional marketing teams (Brand, RBE, Sports Marketing, etc.) to create seasonal initiative programs that align with seasonal and corporate objectives at wholesale.
• Work with Sales and Agency Marketing Reps to promote Account Marketing programs and to ensure that accounts execute programs appropriately and effectively. Oversee regional dealer advertising to drive brand awareness and traffic to key wholesale partners in markets targeted for high growth potential.
• Oversee all creative materials and programs to ensure we have the best offerings of tools to maximize utilization and ROI of Co-op program. This includes ad templates, photography, event kits, fixtures and graphics, etc.
• Manage Co-op and Marketing Development funds. Work closely with Co-op Agency to ensure that funds are properly allocated and used by accounts. Establish and regulate appropriate guidelines and standards to streamline Co-op process and ensure that funds are maximized.
• Create, manage, and track all applicable budgets to ensure on or under budget performance and all applicable project timelines to ensure on time, high quality deliverables.
• Maintain current knowledge of outdoor industry marketing activities to create closer relationships with key wholesale and establish successful Account Marketing programs.
• Attend Sales Meetings, Trade Shows, Account meetings and other events as necessary.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• BA or BS in Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years Marketing experience in a corporate environment, with progressive leadership experience.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline oriented environments.
• Proven track record of driving sales through the execution of successful marketing plans.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, excellent organizational skills, and an outstanding attention to detail.
• Strong writing and editing skills are necessary.
• Some travel required.
