Company is seeking an AV professional to support our Leidos client in the Orlando Florida area. Candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient use of the conference center facilities to ensure satisfactory service for clients and visitors. He/she will support the day-to-day operation including set-up, operation, maintenance, inventory and security of all audiovisual equipment, kitchens and conference rooms. The position requires leadership, initiative, organizational skills, attention to detail, and highly refined customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Major duties include (but are not limited to) the following:
Staff Conference Reception Area: greet clients and staff, manage client requests, track and maintain inventory, and provide direct client service, including creating and maintaining room set-up diagrams, conducting pre-conference meetings, conducting phone and email confirmations daily, sending follow-up thank you emails to clients, monitoring and processing meeting services help client requests, liaising with internal Leidos Teams, and performing other administrative tasks, as assigned or required.
Maintaining/utilizing EMS (Event Management System), the internal Conference room scheduling and event management system
Scheduling meeting rooms and supporting conferences, training sessions, and special events conducted within the Orlando sites.
Maintaining rooms between meetings and maintain the professional appearance of all conference facilities.
Understand and articulating policies to employees/customers regarding facility usage, rental, sponsorship, etc.
Oversee vendors, subcontractors and temporary staff to ensure task compliance and successful performance (e.g. Layout Coordinators, Cleaning Staff, AV Technician, etc.)
Assisting with the maintenance and updating of the Conference Facilities website
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience OR High School education with 5+ years of related experience.
This should include:
2 years’ experience in a client/customer service oriented environment, preferably in a corporate conference center.
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office in an office environment.
Possession of excellent service orientation, responsiveness, and organizational skills.
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Success in the role requires:

Ability to work well in a structured and unstructured environment as a self-starter and work well under pressure and manage time well
Ability to consistently provide and implement solutions

Familiarity with integrated AV systems
Ability to learn new software as required for the position
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Experience with a hotel or corporate conference center
Experience with EMS or any web-based conference room scheduling system preferred.
Audiovisual and VTC experience
Experience with Leidos internal processes and procedures
