Analysts will participate in an intensive comprehensive training program concentrating on corporate finance and accounting, which is taught in New York by outside professors and Company bankers. Analysts will then become integral members of the Midwest Advisory Investment Banking Group, joining a small team, which provides financial advisory services with a focus on relationship management to the firm's clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities of an Analyst include company and industry research, participating in the development of client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients. The focus of the Midwest Advisory is business development, relationship management and strategic client development with execution primarily handled by external industry groups of Company. Assignments are focused on enhancing relationships with clients by providing financial advice on a range of categories, including M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, restructuring and capital markets.
Candidates should be top academic performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment which values initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning. Academic backgrounds may vary, however candidates must be comfortable with financial concepts and enjoy quantitative work.
The Midwest Advisory practice works closely with Company's global network and industry expertise to focus on a range of industries and clients in the Midwestern region. This opportunity is located in Chicago and an interest in working in Chicago is necessary.
